Newsletter from Pastor Wambua - March 2010
Greetings in His name. It has been a while since I send you some updates on my ministry. My family has been well and sustained by the Lord. Our two boys at the boarding school are well. This past Saturday we visited with Joe and this Saturday we will visit with Jeff and looking forward to that.
The
Youth Centre is doing well, We have 297 children and 8 Youths and still expecting more to join in the vocational in the months ahead. Through your prayers and support we have continued to educate, feed and share the Gospel with the children and so many are able to understand the Gospel and some have prayed to receive Christ including children coming from the Muslim backgrounds. I have had challenges raising enough support for my staff allowances and I ask that you continue to pray that the Lord will ease this burden which most times lies on my shoulders. Next year we move to 8th Grade which is the highest grade in our primary education, our children will do a national examination which will qualify them to go to high school but many of them might not join high school for lack of tuition fee.
Baptist Chapel and the mission churches are all growing in the Lord. This year we will spend a lot of time locally, this means evangelizing our community, we will send 2-3 teams to go do some training mission with 4 of our mission churches and request that your pray for the mission teams that we will be sending out. Our church has also become small and have plans to extend our facility and build more Sunday school classrooms, to do this we will have to purchase couple parcels of land which will call for some substantial amount of money and I would ask you to remember this Big project I believe in a God who when he gives a vision he will provide for that vision. Pray for our newly started mission church to grow and for God to provide a piece of land where we can build our own building as of now we are renting which is costly, Pray for Malili church, they need a permanent building they one they have has been eaten some by termites, Pray for Kamuwongo church that the lord will provide for the finishing of the church building which was started last year.
Pray for me and my family, we are trusting God for a stable and reliable car which will allow us move around without breaking down, especially when we visit our mission church, We are trusting God for a seven seater Van, God has provide through a brother $7000 for matching and I believe through your prayers these funds will be matched and we will able to get a van that we will use for ourselves and the ministry. Please I request that you pray and believe God with me for this need.
Attached are photos of the children at the Youth Centre taken last week.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Serving the Risen Savior,
